Palmdale Forklift Attachments - Palmdale, which was incorporated in the year 1962, is situated in the north-central part of Los Angeles County and presently hosts a population of 152,622. In November of the year 2009, voters decided to make the city into a Charter City. The Gabriel Mountain Range separates Palmdale from Los Angeles.
Palmdale has been ranked amongst the top 25 fastest growing cities within California and is currently the sixth largest city within Los Angeles County. With its city limits stretching to 104.57 square miles, Palmdale is considered to be the largest "Desert City" as well as amongst the Top 100 biggest cities within the United States. It is among the really few bigger cities which are not served by a highway or interstate freeway.
Palmdale has long considered itself to be the "Aerospace Capital of the United States." It is by far the most prosperous industry in the area, although manufacturing plants are starting to develop because of special tax breaks offered by the government and the close proximity to the Palmdale Airport.
The USAF Plant 42 is the main location for the Aerospace trade within the city, where all the final assembly, research, development, servicing/modifications and test flights happen. The B-2 Spirit, F-35 Lightning II, F-117 Nighthawk, Lockheed L-1011 Tristar, the SR-71 Blackbird, X-15 and the Space Shuttle are just among the planes which were developed at the centre. The completed products and research made here are utilized by airlines and air forces globally along with NASA.
Located in the city are major operations for Lockheed Martin (Skunk Works), Northrop Grumman and Boeing. The USAF Plant 42, a former Boeing hanger is among the biggest buildings within the world. It is owned by the Los Angeles World Airport.
